Just Sex
Ever had a friend with benefits? Merely, just friends but with benefits? It's hard. I believe it's much harder for females than males to keep it emotionless.
In a psychological sense, women become attached to those they hook up with. Even the slightest bit. You make that sexual connection with someone and instantly you love this attention you're receiving. Whether its publicly or in private.
It's attention that we seek. Women are a little attention seeking, even if its just a hint of it, it's deep down inside all of us. But when reality hits that it is just sex, we want to make it more so badly. Women try as they might to change that man, but that won't happen.
The way a friend with benefits relationship is portrayed in movies is just so wrong. It's so off. Incredibly wrong. That may happen to 1/1,000,000 of the relationships, but that's just not what happens.
I swear, and I will admit this myself, when "No Strings Attached" and "Friends with Benefits" premiered, women across the world gained a little bit of hope that a relationship could go from just sex to magical love. I wish, I wish so badly that was the case. If it was, I would've had so many REAL relationships. Not this, lets keep this on the "hush-hush" bull.
Ladies, if that is in fact what you seek, all the power to you. You are a very strong woman. But proceed with caution.

Subconscious Jealousy
I don't know about any of you, but when my friends get into new relationships or break up I want to reconnect with past lovers. Seeing a new relationship makes one want to be in one as well. It's our subconscious jealousy. You may not know that you're jealous, but you know that you want the same thing for yourself. Happiness is the ultimate goal for us. When we see a reason to become happier, we strike. Never let an opportunity slip away when it comes around.
Even when they fight, for some absurd reason, we want to be able to do the same with the one we care for. We want to feel angst and pain with someone and that doesn't show until we see others doing the same. Or am I just extremely weird?
The attention that another friend gets when we don't, is something we long for. You may not admit it, but I'll be the first to tell you I'm jealous when a friend is getting attention while I'm not.
We all just want to be loved.
